On February, 7th, Javier Rodríguez, partner at the Oviedo Labour Law department, taught a conference at the Oviedo Chamber of Commerce. The main topic discussed was 'Collective Bargaining and Relevant Case Law'.
Rodríguez highlighted that the fact that the labour update is frequently influenced by politics creates uncertainty within the business sector. ''As it happens in the Education field, businesses should also be provided with a stable framework. Businesspeople have to face constant changes and they're afraid of what may come their way'', stated Rodriguez at the event organised by APD, the Oviedo Chamber of Commerce and FADE.
Javier Rodríguez however stated that despite the uncertainty created by these new changes introduced by the labour update, ''collective bargaining is still in good shape: it remains as a useful tool for labour relations.'' You can learn more about this topic in this article by El Comercio (ES).
