On Tuesday, Spanish newspaper Expansión released the ranking of legal transactions carried out in Spain during the first semester of 2018. The ranking shows that large-scale purchases and sales (amounting to more than one billion euros) are again very frequent within the sector in Spain.
ONTIER led one of the large-scale purchase transactions featured on the ranking. The firm advised FCC on the sale of 49 percent of Aqualia, a transaction amounting to 1.024 billion euros, according to the ranking.
Two further transactions led by ONTIER were also featured on the ranking, including the advice provided to Van Oord on the construction of a ship (amounting to 240 million euros) and the purchase of three hotels by Hotusa (amounting to 25 million euros).
Some of the transactions carried out by ONTIER have also been ranked as some of the most outstanding in the finance category. The largest of these transactions was the purchase of debt from BBVA and Bankia by Control Empresarial de Capitales, amounting to 844 million euros. The firm also advised Soinmob in the novation of a financing procedure with Caixabank (amounting to 350 million euros) and Van Oord in the tax lease funding procedure for a dredger ship (amounting to 156 million euros).
